Adventures with the Ross Family: Week in the Life 2012 {Tuesday}

Today has been rough. The kids have been tugging at me, everytime I clean up a mess there are 5 new messes that the kids made, and I may have said to Jax that he can't come out of his room until he is willing to have a normal interraction with humans.

So. Let's begin, shall we?

7:13am: Jax climbs into our bed.

Me: Why are you here?

Jax: There's a monster in my room.

Me: Ok.

And I roll over and go back to sleep. I'm pretty sure by doing that, I just validated there really is a monster in his room. Whoops.

8:00am: I hear Julie stirring. I jump in the shower.

8:15am: I get Julie up and she NEEDS her bottle immediately.

I find Jax on the recliner watching Barney.

This is a common sight in our house. Julie with her bottle and blankie.

9:00am: I'm finally ready. I get the kids in the bath.

9:30am: Breakfast time!

I love my green smoothies!

Earning some Swagbucks while I eat!

Time to brush our teeth!

I love this pic. I was taking a picture of us being ready, but she leaned in for a kiss. So the picture is all blurry cause I wasn't expecting it. But how sweet is she?

10:00am: Justin leaves for work.

I'm working on my morning routine...in the morning! Imagine that!

Laminating stuff for Tot School and folding laundry. Jealous?

10:30am: Jax decides to not listen to me and is warned about a time-out. Then he takes toys that Julie was playing with. When I tell him why we don't do that, he screams at me.

At this point, I didn't even think a timeout would work. So I sent him to his room until "he is willing to have a normal interraction with humans."

I keep him in his room until lunch time. And oh, the house was so peaceful for once this morning!

11:00am: Lunch time!

I figured Jax was acting out so badly because he was hungry.

I was wrong.

After giving him a talk of treating each other nicely, he threw a stuffed animal at Julie immediately.

What?!?

(I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be a familiar picture all week long.)

I work on dinner prep. Dough in the bread machine? Check!

12:00pm: I make my coffee and froth my milk. Nap/quiet time is almost here!!!!!!

12:15pm: Sleepy girl!

Did I mention that I need this quiet time to regain some sort of sanity?

I blogged, downloaded some free apps, and answered some emails.

2:30pm: Jax got out of quiet time. Time for Tot School!

3:00pm: Julie wakes up! Tot School for her as well!

3:55pm: Done with Tot School with both kids. Then I did some (more) laundry. I had to wash Julianne's blankie today. When she saw it coming out of the dryer she squealed with delight. And hasn't let it out of her sight again.

More laundry was transfered to the dryer. Time to get the mail!

Jaxson started to really act up again. In his bedroom he went! I was exhausted of time-outs!

4:10pm: Justin is home! Jax is let out of his room and he plays with Justin. I start dinner.

5:00pm: Dinner! I choose spaghetti since it was easy. I needed something easy. I put a bib on Julie and Jax said he should probably have one too. I agreed, spaghetti is MESSY!

REALLY Jax?!? Out of all the bibs we have, you picked out the "Baby's First Christmas Bib?" I'm not even sure that qualifies as a bib for him. {It's so tiny.} I should recommend that he changes into something that would actually qualify as a bib for him.

But I end up laughing instead.

After dinner, I cleaned up.

6:00pm: Jax gets in his pj's and watched Cailou. Julie has a bottle. I get some odds and ends done around the house. Including calling Coastal.com. I got my new glasses in the mail today and the left eye prescription is wrong. I call them and received some great and fast customer service! LOVE that!
