Competing in normal society

Anyone else thankful for Friday?  I sure am.  This week has been a doozy.  Actually, the last two weeks have been.

1.  Last week, Julianne came down with a nasty cold.  Then gave it to Jax.  Who gave it to me. And I gave it to Justin.  We like to share in the family.  The cold gave you body aches, a very sore throat, and no energy.  Not fun at all.  And it seemed like with each family member that got better, another got sick. Another one bit the dust. It was a very dragged out process.

2.  But, we persevered!  Until on Wednesday, when I walked into Julie's room in the morning and it reeked of throw up.  She had thrown up in her sleep.

Ew.

Which this made sense.  Because on Tuesday night, she wouldn't eat dinner and took a nap at 5pm.  Yes, the girl that can't be bother to slow down in case she misses something, voluntarily slept.

3.  At this point, I should mention that I had worn my pajamas for 2 days in a row.  Before I went to get Julie up on Wednesday, I told myself I was getting dressed in real clothes that day!  And then when I found out she was sick (again) I gave up on life.  Just like George on Seinfeld.

Jerry~"Again with the sweatpants?"

George~"What?  They are comfortable."

Jerry~ "You know the message that you are sending out to the world with these sweat pants?  You're telling the world, I give up.  I can't compete in normal society. I'm miserable so I might as well be comfortable."

Yes.  My sentiments exactly.

4.  So on Thursday, when I finally did get dressed in REAL clothes and did my hair, Jax was very impressed.  "No pajamas today?"

No Jax.  I have finally decided to compete in normal society again.

5. And compete I have!  I'm back to cleaning my house!  Cooking dinner!  Raising kids!  Whew, what a life!
