I'm embarking on something new for this week. It's kind of like A Day in the Life I did back in February, but I'm doing this for a whole week! Ali Edwards is hosting this over at her blog, so jump over here for more info!
So here is how our Monday went:
1:30am (ish): I woke up at to Julie crying. She needed her milk. I got her to bed really quick but didn't fall alseep until it was after 2am!
7:50am: Woke up to Julie crying again. This time she's up for good! I went to get her and here she was laying all dejected and sad. She always acts like she's been abandoned if we don't get her immediately.
[[posterous-content:pid___1]]8:15am: I finally round everyone up for bathtime!
[[posterous-content:pid___2]]And when I got Julie out of the tub, she insisted that she have her bottle NOW!
[[posterous-content:pid___3]]Breakfast time! (As Jax would say.)
[[posterous-content:pid___4]]10:00am: Afterwards, I finally got ready. And then I needed to head to the store. We were out of milk (I seriously think it would be easier if I could just own a cow. Those kids go through milk like crazy!) and I needed to go to the library.
One problem.
I couldn't find my keys. You see, my keys had been missing since Saturday. The kids and I got the mail. And when we came back home, Julie got a hold of them and set off the car alarm. So I threw them up on the couch so she couldn't reach them.
Imagine my surprise when I couldn't find them later on Saturday. Or the day after. Or today.
Annoyed, I took off the couch cushions, looked under the couches, and behind the curtains. Nope. They were gone. I can only imagine what the kids would have done with them.
During this search and rescue mission of my keys, Jax got the hair-brained idea that the couch cushions could be turned into a slide. He would get on top of the couch and slide down, saying "Wheeee." (You would think that we didn't own a slide in our backyard.)
[[posterous-content:pid___5]]
I gave in and just used Justin's keys and got us some milk. I skipped the library since my library card is on my key ring. And I was just a little stressed out that our mailbox key was on there as well. Would we ever be able to get the mail again?!? (Drama, drama!)
Anyways, I gave up looking for them and made lunch.
Speaking of real drama, I had to make lunch while enforcing time-outs for Jax.
[[posterous-content:pid___6]]
How cute is Julie? She always joins him in time-out.
11:30am: "Lunch Time" (as Jax would tell Julianne.) And Justin leaves for work.
[[posterous-content:pid___7]]12pm: My 2nd favorite time of the day...nap/quiet time!
[[posterous-content:pid___8]]
Or Swagbucks earning and blogging time for me!
1pm: Start up laundry. Our dirty laundry have taken over the laundry room. It's time to start the machine up! Jax gets out of quiet time and hangs out with me.
[[posterous-content:pid___9]]
2pm: My compuer dies and I don't have a battery cord. I have to wait for Justin to come home with his.
2:40pm: Julie is up! This is when I finally start my morning routine. (You know, vacuuming, dishes, making beds...etc. It's been a hectic day!)
3:00pm: I am still annoyed I can't find my keys. I see the mailman drive by and we could really have something important in our box (ha!) and I can't get in.
So, I start in Jax's room. I KNOW one of the kids had my keys. I clean out the bottom of Jax's closet.
[[posterous-content:pid___10]]No keys. And now Jax is missing a blue flip flop as well? How does one lose a shoe?!?
Do I have a black hole in my house?
Next stop, under Jax's bed.
[[posterous-content:pid___11]]Hallelujah!
(But why were they under Jax's bed?!?)
Now that my mission is done, I play with the kids.
4:15pm: Time to start dinner. Since Justin is at Session tonight, we will be having pancakes and eggs. In other words, "brinner."
[[posterous-content:pid___12]]
5:00pm: We finally eat! It took a long time. Because this little girl, wanted me to hold her the entire time I made dinner.
[[posterous-content:pid___18]]
After dinner, we clean up, get the mail, and take the trash can to the front yard for trash day tomorrow.
6:00pm: The I decide to clean out the ottoman. The toys are out of control![[posterous-content:pid___14]]
Jax and Julie take it to mean that its time to play with the toys that I'm trying to organize.
Jax finds a doll brush and wants to do my hair.
[[posterous-content:pid___15]]Lovely. I think he should stick to the career goal of a fireman and rockstar instead.
7:15pm: I put Julie to bed. She was so tired.
7:30pm: Bedtime stories for Jax!
[[posterous-content:pid___16]]8:00pm: Jax is in bed! Time for me to edit photos and play on the computer.
8:30pm: Justin is finally home!
10:30pm: Folding my last load of laundry and then I'm finally getting to bed!
And here are my official Week in the Life sheets that for Monday.
