18 Months {Julianne}

Remember how I said that it would be really hard to get rid of the bottle?  I knew it would create some drama and that she would miss it a lot?

I was wrong.

One day, I put her morning milk in a sippy cup (that would have been in her bottle), braced myself, and gave it to Julie.  She didn't care.  I guess milk is milk.

I did the same thing for lunch and then for her nighttime bottle.

People, she DID NOT care one bit.  I have no idea why.  It was then I realized that maybe, just maybe, it was "I" that didn't want her to lose her bottle.  Maybe I liked rocking her to sleep at night.  And maybe I didn't want to acknowledge, yet again, that she's growing up.  My little baby is not a baby anymore.

But I notice we still call her baby and I'm sure that will stick.

Julie now says uh-oh.  If she drops or spills something, you can hear her say "uh oh."

And if she wants you to pick her up, she reaches her hands really high and says up.  At first, I didn't realize she was saying this until one day I was trying to cook dinner and she really needed to be picked up.  She just had her hands up in the air saying up over and over until I realized that she just wanted some attention.

She's such a character.

Happy 18 Months, Julianne!
