It's been a while since I've sat down and wrote a post. I've tried to keep up with my goals each week. And Project Life. But it's hard to have a complete thought after being pulled in all different directions with Jax and Julie through out the day! Usually by 8pm, I'm spent!
It's currently 9:15...so hang on tight!
Today we decided to head to the mall. We've been having some dreary, rainy, humid weather. See?
I wanted the kids to run out there energy, preferably in the comfort of a/c. And so the mall it was. I also wanted to go to the mall because a new Nestle Tollhouse Cookie shop opened up and they were offering free cookies.Yes. I'll be right there.
And so we went. We stopped by the Nestle Tollhouse shop, and got a teeny tiny free cookie. Seriously. It was a bit-and-a-half cookie. I should have expected that. But, it was still good! And the perfect size for Julie.
Then we headed to the play area. It wasn't crowded at first. But slowly, the place was packed. But the kids were running around and having a good time. That is, until the mom who let her son in with a balloon.
One balloon. In the midst of at least 30 preschool kids.
Justin and I looked at each other in disbelief. What kind of parent would let their child run around in the play area with a balloon? Justin said there would be chaos. But you see, it was already chaos with all the kids running around.....I said it would create anarchy.
And it did. Suddenly, little kids were reaching out for this little boy's balloon. Jaxson caught wind of the balloon and needed one IMMEDIATELY.
Luckily, it was time to go and the name of the store was on the balloon. We told Jax we would look for one. And Jax wasn't the only kid that had to leave and get a balloon. I saw another dad promising the same thing to his son as they left as well.
Over a balloon. I still don't get it.
But Jax did get his balloon.
Afterward, we found a Mexican restaurant that we wanted to try. We chose it mainly because it had chips to dip for the kids. We could give the kids anchovies and ketchup and they would eat it because they were dipping their food. Sheesh.
It was naptime and we headed home. After they woke up, I really needed to go to Target to get some diapers for Julie. I had a coupon that expired today, so that was my excuse to head to my favorite store ever.
But we made the mistake of going on a Saturday. In the afternoon. That place was crazy. And you know what made it even more crazy? An Angry Bird Space game.
I think I have said before that Jax is saving up his money to get the Angry Bird On Thin Ice game. He's almost has enough to buy it. But I dread buying it. Because he already had Angry Bird Knock on Wood game and Spring is in the Air game. And I have to constantly remind him to keep them out of Julie's reach. And we are always losing some bird, or egg, or pig and then finding it in weird places. So I really don't want to have to keep track of three games. But at least they only have 3 games right?
Wrong. Now they came out with a Angry Bird Space game. I'll be honest. It looks pretty cool. But, really? Now there are 4 types of games that Jax just has to have?!
In order to get him out of the store without the Angry Birds in the sacks, Jax wanted to take pictures of the games.
He took a picture of each item he really liked. So for instance, he can't wait to have the TNT to play with.
And he told me this was now his favorite Angry Bird.
Poor kid. You would think he has no toys. But he did put the Angry Bird games back and I've got them on Jax's Amazon wishlist so I know what to get him for Christmas.
Unless he saves enough money for the Angry Bird Space game. Which could happen, I guess.
We came home and ate dinner. And after dinner, I noticed that Julianne went MIA. It was real quiet, which is never a good sign. And this is what I spied when I saw her:
She is definitely Justin's daughter....playing Angry Birds on the iPad and yet needing to have an iPhone also right next to her. It was way too cute. And she was so happy!
